The over-the-door bracket is padded with soft foam on both sides to prevent scratching the door. No tools or assembly are required – simply hang the bracket over the top edge of the door. Do not use this rack on glass doors, hollow core doors with thin veneer (may dent), or doors that are painted with soft, uncured paint. The rack may leave a slight indentation on the door padding if left for many months; periodically reposition or remove to avoid permanent marks.
